Anchor, The
A traditional pub that goes way back. Not at all bad, the fixtures and fitting seem to be as historic as the pub.
Bankend
Anchor Tap
A real pub. Lots little rooms, in one you can even find a shove 1/2 penny set. No self respecting yuppie would be seen dead in this place. I highly recommend it.
Horselydown Lane
Camel, The
Modern pub, quite usable.

McDonalds with booze.
Bankside
George Inn, The

Stanford Street
Market Porter, The
Yuppie ville
Stoney Street
Old Kings Head, The
A true local. Warm atmosphere. Not a single tourist or yuppie in sight. Don't worry about getting run over in the narrow alley leading from the pub, it's probably an ambulance on it's way from Guys.
Kings Head Yard
Old Thamesside Inn
Big and modern. Go to the Anchor.
Clink Street
Rose and Crown
Well hidden away. Rather nice pub, rather small. Unfortunately it seems to attract the suits with phone type, but on the whole rather nice.
Paris Gardens
Skinner
Large rambling pub. Another total fake.
Trolley Street
Southwark Tavern
Anywhere else this pub would be highly recommended, but around Borough market, there is some stiff competition. So here its an also ran, but worth trying.
Stoney Street
Stage Door
Samuel Pepys must be turning in his grave as a result of what they have done to one of his favourite pubs. This is industrial pubing. Only use in emergency.

Chislehurst
Imperial Arms
A really nice pub, friendly service, good atmosphere. There is a Thai restaurant at the back
Chislehurst
The Crown
Just across the green from the Tiger head, not bad, and not as full. Some times the cooker blows up.
Chislehurst
The Tigers Head
More a badly run restaurant than a pub. They tend to close when it suits them, if you like arrogant staff that most firmly believe that the customer is of no importance than this is the place for you. Fake old style, thinks it's better then it is.
Chislehurst
The Bull
Big traditional pub, better selection of wine than most. There is a carvery at the back that looks and smells good
